Becoming a Postdoctoral Fellow at the HBI

Members of the Hotchkiss Brain Institute have active and productive research laboratories, enabling opportunities for postdoctoral training. Prospective postdoctoral fellows with defined areas of interest should contact individual faculty members directly.

The Postdoctoral Association of the University of Calgary (PDAC) is a group of postdocs who are interested in postdoctoral issues at the University of Calgary. PDAC members are volunteers who are currently postdoctoral associates at the University of Calgary.

Prospective postdoctoral fellows are encouraged to apply to national granting agencies to obtain personal financial support.

Postdoctoral Opportunities

Many supervisors are willing to entertain postdoctoral inquiries at any time. Potential applicants should contact individual faculty members directly to discuss opportunities for postdoctoral training in their laboratory. The Hotchkiss Brain Institute Trainee Organization (HBITO)

The Hotchkiss Brain Institute Trainee Organization (HBITO) is an organization of postdoctoral and graduate students supervised by members of the HBI.  The HBITO aims to facilitate and foster stronger interactions between trainees while shaping their educational environment. They accomplish these goals by hosting world-renowned speakers, organizing events to celebrate the achievements of HBI trainees, and playing an active role in the education of our community.
